Canada Visit - Preparations
The Jamati Institutions convey warmest mubaraki to all Jamati members on the news of Mawlana Hazar Imam's visit to Canada later this month. The Mulaqat in Toronto will take place on November 17, 18, 19 and 20. The Mulaqat in Montreal will take place on November 21. Additional information will be shared with the Jamat once registration closes and plans are finalized. Please note that these mulaqats will only be for Jamati members who are residents of jurisdictions under the Council for Ontario, the Council for Ottawa and the Council for Quebec and the Maritimes. The Council for Canada has received inquiries from residents of Western Canada and other countries, who may have families in Eastern Canada, as to the feasibility of attending these ceremonies. Please note that the Jamati work Mawlana Hazar Imam has consented to perform is restricted to members of the faith who are residents in Eastern Canada, and who fall under the jurisdiction of those Councils. Therefore, we respectfully request residents of Western Canada and of other countries not travel to Toronto and Montreal with the expectation that they will be able to participate. This will help ensure an intimate experience for the resident Jamat, and avoid large Jamati gatherings in as far as possible. We appreciate the Jamat’s understanding and look forward to and look forward to Mawlana Hazar Imam’s mulaqat to Western Canada in 2018, and for the success of this historic visit. As we prepare for Mawlana Hazar Imam’s presence in Canada, extensive preparations are underway to help ensure a peaceful and fulfilling experience for all murids. We encourage the Western Canada Jamat to also participate in that journey and preparation, wherever possible, in the spirit of #OneJamat and in preparation for their own Mulaqat, inshallah, in 2018. The following are a number of the initiatives that are currently underway. As details and locations of various initiatives are being confirmed every day, please check the iiCanada mobile app from the iTunes App Store or Google Play Store, or Jamatkhana announcements for local details. Thank you.

Diamond Jubilee Fund
The events of the coming weeks and months will require significant resources in order to be successful and enjoyable, and we kindly request the Jamat to make your contribution to the Diamond Jubilee Fund today. The fund will cover visit-related costs such as hall rentals, security, and Jamati celebrations across Canada. The Fund also covers Diamond Jubilee commemoration activities, on-going programs and services, and international collaboration. - Our needs for the Diamond Jubilee Fund in Canada are 4 times the level of institutional funding required in other years. To date, 30% of the Jamat has participated, and we have reached 30% of our target.
- For Jamati members who have already made or offer on-going contributions, thank you for your generosity. Please consider increasing your contribution amount wherever possible.

Devotional Expressions
Jubilees are a unique time when musicians and artists have historically created new works that celebrate the occasion, inspire the Jamat, and bring the community together. This time-honoured tradition has resulted in numerous iconic musical pieces that have become a cornerstone of our cultural identity. In commemoration of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s Diamond Jubilee, Canadian artists have created original and unique musical submissions in multiple languages. We encourage all members of the Jamat to sample these at their leisure, or to download them for listening at home or in the car. Please click here to view the albums.
